About Ronald William Hill
Ron entered this life in December of 1953 and was raised on a farm in Stockton, Illinois, which is found in the beautiful northwestern corner of Illinois. While growing up he was very prominent in musical activities in the Stockton schools and the Unitarian Church there, singing and playing piano, organ and oboe.

Mr. Hill graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 1976 with a B.S. in Music Education. After college, Ron devoted most of his energies to studying and applying the spiritual philosophies of L. Ron Hubbard in Chicago, Washington D.C. and Clearwater, Florida, where he was the choir director there for several years.

Since returning to the Chicago area in 2001, Ron has been composing mainly for voice and piano in his spare time. He currently works as an office manager for a software company. He enjoys photography and gardening as well, and resides in the lakeside community of Wilmette, Illinois with his wife, Karen.

Ron 's first composition was written at the age of 16. It was followed by a number of pieces for piano, organ, string orchestra as well as a number of art songs and choral pieces. His works have been performed by the University of Illinois Madrigal Singers, the Highland College Choir, the Sauk Valley Orchestra, and the Wooster (Ohio) Symphony. His vocal pieces have been performed by soprano Lisa Mehdipour and award-winning counter-tenor, Mark Crayton, who has taken his songs to London, Amsterdam and the Phillips Gallery in Washington, D.C. As of April of this year, two of his pieces have been performed on Chicago's classical radio station WFMT.

Ron is on the Staff of Jeff Lindberg's Chicago Jazz Orchestra and on the Advisory Board of Art Odyssey.

He is also a minister of the Church of Scientology and is active in the Volunteer Minister program sponsored by the Church.
